swap is the way to go garagetuning.com, they have done over 50 swaps already and i watch them do that everyday. You can call them and have them give u some ideas. Also they just a shipment arrived with all JDM STI motors and other goodies

it's always better to have a stock motor that makes big power

On our side of the country, though (GT is in CA I think), there's other places.

www.rallispec.com in NJ
www.eastcoastswappers in MA

ECS focuses on engine swaps, they go start-to-finish in about a week, turnkey. Prices are set, they have a great website.

Rallispec is a racing company, they compete in rally and also do builds. They tend to be less available immediately though.

Yeah, forgot about them!

Perhaps closest to you is also:

www.gearboxtech.com

aka "AndrewTech" ... Fantastic place, lots of praise if you look in MAIC. I had sort of a misunderstanding with them, it blew beyond proportion for various reasons. They don't have set prices on swaps, and their estimates for that as well as a fix I needed on my OE RS engine, were very high. At least compared with ECS, GT and other places. So I took them out of consideration.

That says nothing about GBT's talents. And again, somehow it blew out of proportion. I had weird email responses from them.

Yeah I agree...

If you have a 2006, just sell it privately for max. profit according to KBB value, then get a WRX or STI.

Kingpin is in Dallas, TEXAS. They're located very central near downtown and quite easy to get to.
