White can look good with the right paint. The pearl creamish white looks sick.

Agreed.

Satin white looks nothing close to a fleet color vehicle. Nor does any Subaru really...

Once again my 05 sti was refered to as "Australian muscle" the opposite of a Pontiac Grand Prix 5.3 V8 "American muscle" So far my best is when I took my girlfriend to the movie "Evil Dead" tonight. Earlier this morning I installed a Turbo XS type-H BOV. My girlfriend said after hearing it for the first time "it sounds like a lady in labor doing breathing exercises" :[] lol!

When I was pumping gas in my 09 wrx a while back this redneck pulls up beside me at the next pump in an old Camaro, then proceeds to ask me "is that a BMW?"

So just because they weren't sure of the brand you thought they were dumb?

Unloading my seibon hood, the neighbour kid,age 6 playing with my nephew, said it looked like a mustang hood, bc the scoop.
I just said 'no, it's for my subie' with a smile

I bought my first car a couple years ago (97 honda prelude) then sold it to a kid a few grades lower than me. Once him and his friends found out I used that money for a wrx they were amazed that id sell "such a fast car" for my slow 4 door wrx. My friend overheard them talk about it while looking at it in the parking lot saying "why waste that much on a car like that, the prelude could smoke that thing easy" after hearing up i gave up all hopes on our younger generation lol

I did not say he was dumb, just thought it was funny. Why are so many people prone to try and create conflict within these posts. Wasn't using redneck as a derogatory term, I live in Georgia and the guy had a mullet with a nascar hat on and drove an old camaro. .

A Subaru is probably every fifth car you see in Utah. We don't have that problem here. I cry when people accuse me of being a granola...

Car is debadged with only Subaru logos left and wrx on the front grill, so not exactly my top priority for everyone to know what kind of car it is. And I did in fact cry as soon as I got back in the car.

Guy in a beautiful FD rx-7 was in the lane next me while i was in my fxt. He does a quick pull, i dropped to 3rd from 5th and did a little pull myself to about 75 from 55 mph. At the first stoplight a couple miles ahead he pulls up next to me a looks at me with a puzzled look, then says, "jesus man, that thing is a sleeper!
3" catless exhaust on a turbo fozzy tends to get people lookin at it like dafuq? Double takes everywhere bwahahahaha

I remember those commercials playing when i was little and I totally believed they were made in australia as well, since every subaru commercial was filmed in the out back with the dundee.

Yup, was in a huddle with some jeep guys the other day who were convinced the subaru was either Australian or American made. Eyes widened when the word Japanese was introduced .

Yep. Guy I work with swapped an EJ22 into his 70's VW Beetle. A few of the guys we worked with thought it was funny to have a German car powered by Australian engine. They were surprised when I said Subaru is Japanese.

Wasnt so much funny as it was stupid. or maybe im just a stickler for calling things as they are. Went to the dealership(not the one I bought from) , and one of the salesman who could not have been a day over 19 says to me " Wow you got the new STi WAGON, we haven't had one of those in a while " I was very much -__-

How the hell are you supposed to be a subject matter expert on a particular brand of car, yet don't even know the correct vernacular or the difference between a hatch and a wagon. I told him "the outback is a wagon, this is a 5dr hatch" and proceeded about my business.

A couple of guys pulled up to the sub shop a little bit after I had ordered and came strutting in, both with big smiles. One of them announced "That is the fastest work truck ever!" (since I have a 16' ladder on the roof rack currently). Then half of the place went to look out the window. We all had a good laugh
