I never thought I would like that hatchback sti, but since I got my first kid coming mid april, I keep thinking of upgrading my 05sti to a hatch just for that extra functionality of space and stability. Now I feel like coverting, and they're going back to sedan only! Gotta get my order on before April 1st!

You're the first person I've ever seen mention a "true STI wagon" in all the years I've been on this site, of all the meets I've done and from all the researching I've done of all six Subarus I've owned across 10 years. Got any pics? I'm assuming JDM bugeye wagon? That's the only model that eludes me since I despise the bugeye.

This concept alone will probably make wait to purchase a new car till next spring. I was planning on getting something in a month.

That is what people said after seeing the concept FR-S. This is a concept. Will be toned down by production time.

It is in Indiana. At least my WRX 5 Door is according to the BMV. This concept will make a great 3 door hatch.

Not trying to start a pissing match here but.........how are the old GF STi's any different than the current model STi "hatchback".

From my understanding the GF wagon was just that...a hatchback wagon. A true wagon would be like a Legacy style wagon I would assume? So the guy does know his roots (in my eyes), and is saying he'd like to see them continue with the hatchback wagon.

I also would like to see them continue to product the hatchback.

i hope this isn't what they're unveiling, im guessing it's going to be a brz sti version, based on the version shown off at the tokyo auto saloon last week

Oh, I so hope these wheels somehow make it to production. I'd buy the STI over the WRX just based on these wheels. They're real, certified wheels with the JWL mark in them. Those Dunlops don't appear to be real tho

YES PLEASE. Sign me up. This is the first WRX in years that hasn't looked like complete garbage. Almost all of them take getting used to to be stomachable. This I would take no changes needed.

So, I really like the stubby front and rear ends. I really don't like how tall the doors are. I like to have a lot more glass on all sides. I like to have awesome vision of all directions if possible.

I'll be interested to see what tech/mpg/weight is like; remember anyone can make power it's the mpg/tech/weight that can be a bitch to fix. I just want a good stereo and usb/bluetooth stuff and make Nav an option because I don't ever want to use a factory nav.

Obviously this concept won't look like the true release. I will say, however, that if this really is the new design "concept" they have a good thing going. Let us never go back to the 2008 model, ever again.

I'm a proud 2011 owner...what the 2008 should have looked like.

GF Wagons were the same length (or very similar) as the sedans.

Current model hatch is shorter than the sedan.

I'm not getting my hopes up since this is so similar to the impreza concept, but if they decide to make the WRX essentially a 4-door coupe (I hate that classification) version of the current impreza I'd be ok with that.

The tires remind me of a Dunlop "Tarmac Rally" model, maybe the DZ03. But the size depicted on the WRX Concept, 245/40R20, would be a very "special order."

This thing is more BRZ than WRX for sure. At least, the concept is.
I'd almost bet that this concept is actually RWD .
That's perfect. Means less scrape with more low!

Not like I know what a lowered car is... I owned an Outback and I currently drive a stock TL hahaha.
