stock springs for comfort all the way, but just as important is good dampers. and feal makes some of the best on their revalve job. sounds like you already got it figured out!

+1 on swift being too aggresive for baby

check the classified for stock springs. if you dont see any post a WTB thread. also, i have never found an sti at a junkyard, but its worth a shot.

heck you can even run WRX springs on your sti struts, and they will be even comfier! and those i know, are a dime a dozen

Well... I guess what I thought I typed didn't make it on here. I meant that part of my response in regards to the strut, then went on to describe different years top hat interchangeability along with springs. Whoops... sorry for the confusion

No, they changed the top hat and rear spring end in '04. Any '04+ without changing the top hats will fit.

Why the panic about changing the car for the kid? Didn't you get 7-9 months advanced warning of what was going to happen?

There are many threads on this subject. Check with your local fire station about what seats they recommend. Those guys have the latest poop on the best seats that will click into your '06, and know the ones on the do not use list.

Congratulations.

PS: I went to Korea and the Hyundai test track had a section labled "L.A Freeway". Periodic brakes in the super slab to set up suspension resonance. The big boys have some of the worst roads set in concrete to test on. Other tracks have pot hole edges protected with angle iron. They want the same bump year after year. Nasty when you are on a ride a long.

The gestation period for a human child is ~9 months in the womb. I could go on, but this dumb engineer has too much of a chance of putting his foot in his mouth on the subject.

Again, your local fire station is a great resource. Those guys have a vested interest in keeping us safe. They would much rather sit around than go on a call with the coroner. They do good work on their down time.

Ive got what i think is a rather stiff suspension... But heres the thing, from day 3 out of the hospital we were going back each day for my wife's complications for 2 months and havent had an issue then. There is a lot of head support in an infant car seat!

I think in general you are over thinking this. Baby in car= drive moderate to cautious and no aggresive daily driving, simple as that.

Now for all the folks that say babies love car rides.... You lied to me!. Our lexus or my car, he hates cars with a passion. Thats no way to be groomed for an F1 career.

I would suggest sticking with stock STI springs and the Feal revalve. Feal is in your back yard and they will do a great job.

When my first kid came we sterilized and bubble wrapped everything. When the second one came, we let them eat food off the ground and play in the street with scissors. They are resilient little buggers.
Congrats, it's the greatest and wildest trip of your life.

Good choice. I wouldn't even look elsewhere if Feal were in my backyard.
