I hope if they make it close to this (the STi).... that they make a wing like that aftermarket.. not usually a fan of the park bench spoilers... but, this looks right.

^^^^Do my eyes deceive me, or is that really a supercharger on the engine in the foreground?

Funny, I built this car 10 years ago and most in this forum called me crazy. I converted my Cobb Tuned Impreza (first ever built by Trey when he was still in Texas) to RWD.
I am glad to see this car come out - leave it RWD and leave it NA - just become a better driver. Turbo is a driving aid just like traction control or stability management

Does anyone know of the car will come with 5x100 or 5x114.3 lug pattern? I was unable to tell by the pictures...

Five different BRZ first drive reviews out in one day. ALL positive (some extremely).

BRZ review compilations - http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2498

But the most positive one I've seen on any of these cars is the EVO review, which completely gushed about the Toyota 86 - http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evoc...ota_gt_86.html

And one of the BRZ reviews called the steering better than anything out there, short of a Lotus. I'm even more psyched for the BRZ after the initial impressions.

Thank God you said it! I'm just shocked no one has come up with this gem yet.

At least come up with something original next time.

SOA already released that the Turbo version is being ironed out already. I guess nobody's gonna buy that cuz it's too much power and it won't be how the car was designed to be.

The article you're referring to talks about a new 2.0L turbo engine coming out soon, but it doesn't say what vehicle it's going into.

Ur right. It doesn't. It does say that they are turbocharging a motor that, as of right now, is only going to be available in the BR-Z and the Toyota/Scion variants.

The turbocharged motor is going into the WRX/STi, not the FT86/BRZ.

I must've missed SOA's confirmation of that somewhere.

Weren't they making a 1.6L displacement engine for the WRX/STi?

Well my bet is that the engine they are showing is for the WRX/STI, but as Subaru does, it will probably be a modified version in the BRZ STI and Legacy and Forester XT.

The 1.6L turbo just means that they can qualify for WRC with that motor!

NASTY drifting / driving video by Ken Gushi!

Sounds and looks great flogged on the track like that.

He definitely seemed to like it a lot.
You can tell just by his smiles even if he didn't say a word
