Tells the health of the motor internally... You should talk to a tuner btw.

You should be talking to a tuner, NOT the internet. You don't just turn up boost on Subarus without knowing engine management, whether your motor is good, what turbo you have, knoweldge and use of air fuel ratio equipement, etc.

I know I should be going to a pro. But you tell me were ill find someone in texas and ill go today. Atleast call them. Im just wanting some opinions on if the motor is capable of handling the extra 3psi. If you can't answer that then I guess I'm not asking you.

It should be able to handle 18 psi at least for long enough to break something. How do you plan on increasing the boost? If you are going the MBC route, at least find out what your A/F ratios look like at 15 psi. Increase it by 0.5 psi increments at a time. Then report back when you've blown a piston.

My turbo actuator is going out. I have 2 others in my hands. 1 allows 13psi the other 18psi. If I can use the 18psi actuator then I save $150.00. But if need be I will buy a boost controller to aset the boost lower. I'm simply wondering once again if it could handle the extra boost. But thanks everyone for being a$$es. I was told this site has respectable people but I have seen otherwise. Peace

The reason why everyone is giving you a hard time is because it's nearly impossible to say whether it can handle it or not, given the age of the engine. Also keep in mind that JDM engines are made to run on higher octane fuel than we run here. Do you have any way to monitor A/F ratios, knock, and EGT?

if the wastegate actuator is the reason your gonna be going to 18 psi then either buy something that can monitor data, or turbosmart just came out with an internal wastegate for subaru's that has different springs so you could just put in the 15psi spring. there's probably many other brands that offer wastegates that do the same thing sorry if giving you info. is being an a$$ then you shouldn't have asked a question.

Since it's JDM, and pre-1996, I'm not sure any OBD II readers are going to work on it, so you probably need to install hard-wired gauges to read that information.
