Default General comments on Continental Contispotcontact?

Well. these tires came stock with my Sentra SER-V. I found them to lack traction in wet badly, even compared to the worse all season tires on other cars i've driven. Is it because i'm not used to driving a FWD car with 180lb ft of torque after driving my Legacy turbo? They're fine in dry, definitely as good or better than the Kumho 712 i have before.

Anyone heard comments from various BMW boards, Porshce.. etc etc?

I was going to suggest you check the review on tirerack, but I believe you've already done that and posted your own review.

I'm going to say it's largely because you aren't used to a FWD vehicle. I've been spoiled myself with AWD, and after test driving FWD vehicles, I concluded that it wasn't for me. Though when I test drove a SE-R Spec V, I was impressed with the dry traction.

I've had all-season tires on a FWD vehicle break lose in the rain while going uphill (straight road) at 100km/h (spedo climbed to 140km/h as the car slowed. ) The car only had 110 bhp and I was in 5th gear. Now thats poor wet weather performance.
