Default question from an EVOM guy

hey guys, this is only my second time posting on here. im from EVOM. i roll with about three scoob's two wrx's and one STI. and like two evo's. we have a turbo club out here. anyway i wanted to ask you guys about turbobacks for an 05' WRX STI, my friend just got a DP to finish up the setup. what kind of gains is he getting off that? i know that it varies but just a ruff number would be good. just want to know cuz were going down to SACRAMENTO raceway in a few weeks and we want to beat all are old times(stock) just wanted to see if he can break into 12's. i know that its possible stock with STI's but hes not that great of a driver and he has no tune either. so what are you wrx guys running with TB exhausts? thanx keep moddin' guys-tony

Just a DP? I'm almost willing to bet he definately won't make it into the 12's.

With a catted full exhaust and a short ram intake and ~$50 in DIY mods. I was trapping 105 to 107mph at New England Dragway.

That's a pretty awesome time for just a TBE and no EMS.

Low 13s would be reasonable. Mid 12s? I think a little exageration. Trapping 108 with just a TBE is insane. How can you pick up 8mph from just a TBE?
