My wife always says she hears me before I get home. Its funny when we were dating like 8-9 years ago. I would head over to pick her up or to hang out and she could hear that boxer rumble like 5 minutes prior to getting there. Or she would hear it then stop. (I would pick wild flowers and bring them to her). Then hear it accelerate like 1st gear, 2nd gear.....3rd gear.....4th gear. she'd be like hes rolling. LOL.

When you laugh at posts where people are trying to sell their wrx / sti and it says 'no joy rides' because you know, everyone who owns one takes a joy ride everyone once in awhile... Or once a day

It's much louder compared to stock. The drone on the highway with a small incline can sometimes be annoying.

Maybe the hatch of the 5dr lets more exhaust noise in compared to the 4dr and its closed trunk?

Or my hearing is just much more sensitive than yours. Definitely possible.

Haha I bet

I got the SPT thinking it'll be only slightly louder than stock. Turned out to be slightly louder than the Perrin dual-tip I had on my '08

I literally when I trip off very sensitive car alarms in parking buildings.

when you're passing on a street full of kids with their nerf water guns shooting at cars in front of you cruising at 25... then they go on ceasefire when it's your turn. could be a sign of respect for the car or fear they might flood your engine through the hood scoop with water.

...When people slam your frameless doors getting in and out of the car and you just cringe. Then berate them by telling them that, with the windows down, you can close the door with my pinky finger.

...Nothing is allowed in the car that is dirty. Leaf on your shorts? Looks like you are walking home.

...People in the car laugh at you when you pull out one of the two microfiber cloths in your center console to wipe down the dash.

...You are tired of explaining what the hood scoop is for

What is that radiator on the engine?

What are those orange things in the wheels?

...You are tired of explaining A/F ratio, boost and oil pressure from the gauges in the clock pod

...You take the long way home

...Your father asks why the car sounds like it is exploding when he nails is. And then you spend some time explaining external wastegates and their benefits. Wuuuuuuuhhh-buh-buh-buh-buh

I couldn't imagine that.

I'm still finding dirt in places I didn't know dirt could get into in my car.

Not bad. Could do better by taking a pic with your phone and emailing said pic to yourself and/or to shop owner.

When your hood is so light...

....that it blows off the prop on a windy day, even with a huge hole in it for the air to pass through.
....that you don't even need to use the prop to keep it up.

It was great though.... last night she was in the middle of a conversation that I had no interest in... we were at a stop light, I revved up, she stopped mid-sentence and grabbed the OS handle and held on. It was magical.

I like how you put it. "SHE was in the middle of a conversation". From the sound of it, I guess she was talking to her self
