so i'm sticking with my original order / dealer after all, they called me and apparently my car HAS been built and will be at baltimore January 22nd meaning its already on a ship.
Probably at the dealership first week of february. This means a lot more waiting and infuriating whatever, but they WILL give me a loaner in the meantime! HAHA! That helps a lot considering my trucks condition. No clue why I was fed so much misinformation, and it took finding another car placing a deposit and saying cancel my order to "produce" more, but whatever...... So annoying. |

Can anyone who has ordered recently tell me if I'll be looking at a four month wait if I order soon? Just curious.

A month sounds about right. It probably takes around 2 weeks to reach the west coast and another week to the east coast. Figure 7-10 days from there in terms of installing port options and truck/rail to the dealer.

It seems like all comes down to dealer allocation. If your dealer actually has the allocation for your car, it should be 10 weeks, give or take 2 weeks. If they don't, it could be months...

If my schedule date is Jan 02. Does that mean it's already on it's way here?

At this point it's looking like the waves of "holds" are over after SOA changed the system with all of the over ordering involved in the summer with competing dealers. I haven't placed mine yet, but talking with the salesman presented me with a confident 8-12 week eta here in Ohio once I decide to pull the trigger. I dk how accurate that is I suppose but it seems like as of late there is a bit more control over everything.

I know waiting for months sucks, but when your car is sitting at the dealership and all you're waiting for is to sell your old car... o_o

If I am lucky I will get mine on Monday if we can agree on a price on my Mustang. I am just gonna buy the first standard blue plasma or dark gray STI that hit the store.
My first Subaru, very exciting |

Hi all. I'm currently in the process of wrx hunting and got two dealers to around 27,000 mark. one white, the other plasma blue. Both with Fog lights, 110 Volt Power outlet, all weather mats, spt boost gauge, and short throw shifter. With those accessories and Destination charge, the online build it pages prices it around 27,814. However both these cars are already at port and on their way so the wait time wont be too bad. I will still be shopping around, but was wondering what you guys thought about those prices.(base Models)

Just ordered my 2103 WRX Hatchback in WRB today. Dealer said it would be March for the delivery date. I am going to have a lot of trouble waiting 3 months....
As far as pricing goes, I paid $25,362 with STI short shifter installed (before taxes). |

Damn, i can't sleep now days because of the fact that my car is going to be in american port on 1/02. I really hope itll only take a day or two after that oactually show up at the dealership being that the port is literally 1-1.5 hrs away.

I have been ship tracking and I believe for us folks on the east coast, Rhea Leader is the one we want due to the fact that it's a car carrier coming from japan. She is almost at baltimore harbor and she should be there by the end of today.
here she is in all her glory Last edited by Djent; 12-23-2012 at 12:43 PM. |
