Yes I know this. I worked in the industry for many years. Just curious if you'd be able to help a fellow NASIOC member. Thanks for the response though.

And for the guy wondering what cars will be at dealerships. Like I said some Subaru dealers have inventory tracking like this one close by to my old house in Central Florida. http://www.mastrosubaru.com/new-inve...rtBy=year+asc&

Sure. No worries. I can help you out if all you need is a sight-unseen appraisal. Many people think that we can give an exact trade-in value without ever seeing the vehicle.

I will simply need the following:
Year:
Make:
Model:
Color:
Trim:
Option Package:
Accessory Package:
Exact Mileage:
Last "Major" Service:
Condition of Tires:

Yep, that is how all Subaru Dealer Sites are now. Subaru basically makes it plug-n-play for dealers to display current and incoming vehicles.

Totally. Since your only two weeks out it might take some time. The "ideal" time to have buyers remorse is the day after or months after.

At two weeks the paperwork is still being processed and is in transition.

You will just need to talk to the Finance Mgr and/or Salesman that handled your transaction.

It should take about 6 or so weeks to get your refund.

Thank you the finance manager was a good salesmen. He sold me gold plus warranty. I am fine with 36k warranty.
Also will the refund go to finance company or me? I believe it was 2500.00

I belive that it will go to the finance company but the Finance Mgr that handled your deal will know better than me. Usually the only time that you receive the refund directly is if you paid cash or own the car outright.

Is the VIP program worth it if I wanted to say buy a BRZ (looking to order in 6-12 months) or can you pretty much get the same deals by working with the dealer?

Just saw this, and I completely agree. I hate having to deal with Waldorf Subaru and generally avoid them for everything but buying oil filters.

Yes, the VIP program is totally worth it. All of the hi-po cars have been excluded from the program for years now. It is like any other buying service in that you have pre-negotiated pricing on the vehicle of your choice. This makes it so that you know exactly what you are getting and for how much.

Most local dealers are starting to "deal" on these cars but I think that you would be hard pressed to get a BRZ at Invoice, no questions asked as easy as the VIP makes it.

I would reccomend to order a car at least 4-6 months out from your actual purchase. This way the car will be there waiting for you when you are actually ready.

Is the lead time really 4-6 months on orders? For example, if I wanted to buy a '13 Outback with the 6MT I assume that's a car that needs to be ordered?

How do you work out ordering a car with the VIP program as you aren't technically supposed to be contacting the dealer before enrolling in VIP and it only lasts 45 days?

(my mom just bought a '14 Forester up in western PA using the VIP program, so I had a chance to read the fine print)

@Beyer,

Can you look up any VON using SubaruNet? Or only your dealers VON's?

I work for Honda and I can look up our orders, in transit status, and on order details, as well as other dealers thru IN

Yep, depending on the car that you order it can be 4-6 months. Yep, if you have a very specific recipe for your 6MT planned out it would need to be ordered. If you can deal with a second color choice or different accessories than we could probably find a car on the ground.

Going through any of the buying programs - USAA, Costco, VIP, etc will require a dealer to either be creative or not take a deal. So most dealers will work with you on how the Sale Pricing Structure is set-up and when you will actually take delivery.

All of the buying programs stipulate that they are for in-stock units only. Kinda hard when you don't have any vehicles "in-stock" across the country.

I always reccomend to touch base with the dealer that you plan on working with, organize the deal and then engage the buying service when you are at or very close to actual delivery.

FYI - The Factory Order System for 2013MY Outback/Legacy has been closed.

Nope. I don't have access to anything like this nor have I seen any of the Mgrs have this ability. We (Subaru) are just shy of telegraph status when it comes to orders, tracking orders and actual real ETA/Delivery Status'.

Who do you use for tinting? Do you know if they do the red tail light overlays too?

We use NV Tint - Noel Varela. I don't know if he does tail light overlays? But it's just a film like any other. So I would assume it's no problem.

^ that tire hazard rim way worth it already had 2 times replaced free ., well not free.
But it has paid or itself.

Question Subaru gold plus- will that cover oil changes? or is it even worth keeping? I am at the 2 month owner ship point first oil change. And possibly cancelling the whole thing. thanks!

The Gold plus does not cover oil changes. You have to purchase the maintenance plan.

That doesn't make sense. Why do you have to sell your car to get the job? What position are you applying for? Why do you have to tell them anything?

I never had to do that. Which store are you applying at? Sales pitch is easy: 2011 WRX, low miles, reliable, excellent residual value.

Can you tell me this?

I have a 2013 Impreza with 4800 miles. It's mint. We are looking to get a XV Crosstrek ltd. wife really misses her bun warmer.
What's the invoice like on that? Is there any holdback? Thanks for any info you can give.
We're looking at a standard dealer model at $25900.

Hmmm. 25,900? I guess it has accessories installed?

A "standard" Limited model has an MSRP of 25,290. Invoice would be 23,973 and Holdback would be 490x2. Every dealer is going to price them differently but like any other Suby, there isn't but so much money to play with.
