Question Fog-Ex on tinted windows?

Hey, does anyone with tinted windows use any fog-ex or windex on the interior of your windows? When I spoke to the guy who did my tint, he vaguely recommended that I use products that were "tint friendly"....

Does this include Windex (which I know is ammonia based)?

Also, does Fog-Ex work well with the window tint or does it screw up the film?

Thanks.

-Sam

I would not use Windex on tinted windows. The stuff that they use at car washes to clean your windows is watered down enough to be safe. I don't know about fog-x thou.

Yeah, I'm scared to put anything on my tint. Just water with a tiny bit of soap to clean them. Once I got them clean after the install, my fogging problem went away.

Don't use ammonia on mirrors either. It discolors the backing and ruins the mirror. That's in the house or car.

Get a good alcohol-based window cleaner. I use a product called Proglass. It comes in an aerosol-type can. Works really well.

Tropic tint gave me a bottle of silicon based cleaner after they installed my tint.

Just go to pep-boys. Look at the glass cleaners and get one that says tint safe.
