So we dont ever get snow, dry and wet mostly. What is the best tire? All season or summer tires? So from ppl who live here what works out the best?

depends on what your priorities are. Different tires work for different people.

lmao, Scotty...I hate I never got a chance to buy you a beer before I moved out of Florida, you've been making me laugh for years.

There is no "best" tire for SoCal. Some tires will perform better than other tires depending on what you want to get out of them, but you haven't defined what that is. Anyone can give you their opinion on great tires (I personally like PS2s, but they're expensive as hell), but to suggest the best tires for you, it would be helpful to have answers like:
  • what are your normal driving habits...grocery getter, long commutes, hard daily driving, etc?
  • how important is dry grip to you?
  • how important is wet grip to you?
  • how important is ride comfort to you?
  • how important is tire noise (or lack thereof) to you?
  • how important is tread life to you...do you care if the tires only last 8k miles, or do you want to get 40k?
  • will you ever use these tires for autox or track events?
  • how much do you want to pay for a set of tires?
  • do you want to stay with brands like Michelin or Goodyear, or would you consider lesser known brands?
Even with all that info, you'll get widely varied opinions of what the "best" tire is, but at least people can give you more informed answers.

buy high-performance/summer tires, like PS2,RE050A PP-great in wet, better in wet than all-seasons(which are designed for cold weather, not max cornering in wet)

Had Bridgestone S-02 Pole Positions, now have Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's. Both are nice but I prefer the michelins. Less noise.
