An additional place to consider would be just up Dorsey Rd -- the lot with the Dunkin' Donuts is large, and Cantina Mama Lucia and Al's American in the strip mall there are both relatively cheap. They also have general car-type meets every Friday and Saturday nights (or at least a lot of people with nicely modded cars gather there both of those evenings... and motorcycles too when the weather gets nice). If car types already hang out there, we're less likely to be seen as "suspicious" or otherwise a problem.

I am out until May, since the one class I teach is on Thursdays.

Cantina is delicious, my family gets that once a month or so.

Casey and I are planning to get there at 730 to 745, so plan to come for that time instead of just 700.

Did you guys decide on a place? I saw a lot of suggestions. May be up to come out if some details can be hashed out!

Weeknights are always a toss up for me (kids). I, by no means intend to hijack, just a suggestion - Anyone up for starting/reviving a meet in the Crofton area? There's a new Checkers on 424 right off of 3 (beside Kmart). I know, it's Checkers, but it has fast food, outside tables (so we can check out each others cars while we eat instead of sitting inside), and a good amount of parking that isn't shared with a shopping center or mall.

I'm proposing Sundays at 11 (Sorry, Jackie, laundry can wait :-P ).

+1. A meet in Crofton should have its own thread.

Pretty soon we should make a new thread for the A-Mills meet as well.

Personally.. I'd like a BWB or BWW, or Hooters. =D somewhere with good wings. Chipotle gets crowded around dinner time, and 5 guys I can only do just so much of.

I'd be down for 5 guys any day of the week! I'm not a huge wing guy myself, but I'd be down for that too. I just need to know what day we settle on.

I tried a BWW, nobody showed. Much like last night.

Chaz and I are right, if the regulars that say they'll come/prob come would stop going "Nobody will show, so I won't go" and actually show up, we'd have a meet. We used to be there rain or shine. If it's cold or raining, go inside and eat. I'm probably not coming to one for a while. Done wasting my time.

I understand you though. I would have much rather gone to Five Guys or Chipotle or anywhere besides class... unfortunately, I need the job to afford my autocro$$ and ho˘keĽ habits.

Stop being such a baby.

You planned this last minute and the where it was wasn't very clear until right before the meet.

Right now it's cold and meh outside. Wait until closer to spring when it's warm and people will start coming out again. You asked me to come but I already had plans and unfortunately I am pretty damn busy for most of March and April so it will probably be late April before I can start going to these meets again and trying to organize some.

When that time does I think we will go back to the 5 Guys, Chipotle, Squisito (pizza place next to 5 Guys) for meets since it is easier all around.

It was the same thing as before, it was clear until people started chiming in "lets go here! have a meet in this city instead!". O well.

Agreed, I wasn't sure if people were showing up last week or not. I will come any time we have a few people going. Not that I mind having dinner with you Casey but we chat about cars enough, I like to get a group going!

Theoretically, the next one should be 3/17... which may not work very well if people already have St. Paddy's day plans.

Can't this week if that's what you're thinking. Three tests on Friday! Next week works (I'll be 21!).
