Default New Parts now Available from MooreSport

This is going to be our new thread were we will launch and introduce new parts to the community and try and get a feel for what numbers we should produce for initial production runs.

First item up is our new Solid transmission support / mount. This item replaces the entire OE assembly. Weighs in at only 5.8 lbs compared to just under 16 for the original item.

Fitment is for 1993 - 2007 Impreza, Forester models (and I believe legacy up to 2001). This frame is specific to the 6mt transmission (JDM, EURO, or USDM, as long as it is the 6 speed manual)

Don't ask for pricing on this forum, this is not the place. I am merely introducing a new item, however, feel free to ask as many other non price related questions pertaining to this item as you wish

Do you forsee any issues with the stock frame needing to be strengthened? I recall another company suggesting this as a concern.

The stock frame is completly disgarded. Scrap, put on the shelf to collect dust.

Also. I take it the Cusco Transmission Mount will be deemed useless as well when I install this piece correct? (Dumb question I know, just ensuring clarity).

JDM cover I doubt would work. It looks like it using some pre-set holes in the OE part to hold the clips.

No idea about the noise, this is for racecars that are already stripped of all sound deadening material and make a lot of noise anyhow. Noise factor is not a concern for this application.

I would say we will start taking orders from vendors in 3-4 weeks.

No idea about the Cusco mount. Not even sure what it is.

Unfortunately we are unable to check to see what does and does not fit for the simple reason who we were making these parts for, dedicated race cars.

I fear perhaps I posted this in the wrong section. This is not meant to work with street cars at all. That being said, there is probably going to be a wide range of tuner parts, exhausts, etc, that will not work with it.

What I can offer is that as clients install this with different items, I can post up saying, "it works with this", etc, etc, etc.

I just want to make sure that people don't start buying this expecting everything to fit like a glove with tons of other aftermarket parts.

We normally will refund customers if they are not happy with a part or the fitment does not work. Unfortunately, this part will not be one of those. We will warranty failures, but not fitment issues.

I hope this helps clear the air a little, and I truly mean no dis-respect to anyone.

This piece has a transmission mount integrated into it. So yes your Cusco transmission + subframe it is attached to, would be replaced.

...because race car.

Ahhhhhhh... Ok. Thanks! Given the unknown NVH increase and intended use, I wonder if just going with the CUSCO mount would be a better alternative? (Sorry to stray off topic there).

Perhaps MSI would be interested in doing a run of Subframes that would allow the install of OEM or CUSCO units?

Thoughts? This piece looks sexy as all hell though and I'm a huge MSI fan. I wonder if DP clearance would be a significant concern or not. Hmmmm... Can't wait to find out pricing as well!!

We had planned originally to do two items separately. A billet mount and a tubular brace. However, with the oe mount in place, it was very difficult to get a tubular mount to fit right and remain strong enough. Also, we felt that the teams that would require a support like this would probably not want to use an oe style mount anyhow, so in an effort to maximize strength, ease of replacement, and weight reduction, we went the route we did.

Hope this helps answer some questions as well???!!!
