Looking for Certain Bolt
I am looking for an Eye Bolt like the one shown http://www.sparcousa.com/pharness_comp.asp?id=241 but I need a longer one
I tried Home Depot, Orchard Hardware and even a company that sell bolts but I can't find it Any idea - Charles

CP is right -- why don't you just call Sparco and see what they have/can get?

www.mcmastercarr.com
McMaster-Carr has a bunch of stuff (and more importantly, no minimum order) - just search under eye bolt (I think you want the load rated ones) - not sure if they have what you want since you didn't mention the thread pitch you need, the length, or the material... http://www.arrowisi.com/main.html I have bought metric fasteners from Arrow before (they carry a lot of hard to find stuff - I wanted stainless pin-in-torx bolts for my cross bars and fog light covers) - they do have a minimum order, but it isn't that much. www.grainger.com Grainger is a company similar to McMaster - they carry all sorts of stuff, including eye bolts (just do a search) www.mscdirect.com Another big industrial supplier - should have what you are looking for (their search engine was down, so I couldn't check) |

Why not just buy the Sparco one? It's only $3.00 and you'll have the correct eyebolt.

If I am not wrong, the bolt is M10, 30mm and 1.25 thread. I tried to search and I am not sure about the material. WOuld that be a Steel Alloy or Stainless Steel etc? I want a Grade 8 material

Guys. I think I found the solution. Rather than using the Eye Bolt, I can actually use the following setup shown http://www.sparcousa.com/pharness_comp.asp?id=239
Thanks for all your help - Charles |
