I've know who he was since around '01

Always talking about this "amazing" work he does. "You should see what I could do with your car if you let us build it"

Needless to say I never trusted him or the people he seemed to associate himself with so luckily I have never required a burn unit for being associated with him.

Sorry to hear about all the crap you are having to deal with regarding your car situation.
Hope it all works out and if it ends up on local news I live in Olympia and I offer you my home as a safe refuge.

If you'll please note, both Fortunatos filed against one Andrew Dwyte McCann, 5-13 and 5-14, who appears to be an even bigger piece of ****.

They may have gotten theirs.

That would work for a track/drift car but I would never pay to have a car painted like that hahaha.

Well, thanks to the INSANE amount of phone calls I've been receiving and apparently he has too and this thread and my other thread on Special Stage, Tino SWEARS he has packed up everything and is bringing me everything he owes me and more.. Until he shows up in the driveway I don't believe a word of it but we'll see.

Thanks to everyone who busted ass helping get info on this guy and if it all works out, I will have to fly up to the NW and buy everyone a big steak dinner.

So Tino came down and brought me a bunch of VERY sketchy Evo parts and no cash. He was blown away that I wouldn't let him take his bike with him that was the ONLY remaining collateral I had. We argued very loudly and violently for a while before I eventually said **** it and told him to bring me $500 and he could take the bike and pay me everything else later.. I realized the bike was probably about as sketchy as the parts he brought me so I figured it was probably good not to take posession of anything else sketchy of his. We filmed and audio recorded the entire transaction so we've got video evidence of Tino making this exchange and after talking to some police buddies we made sure to very clearly articulate everything that happened in the exchange and had him sign an affidavit taking full responsibility for the parts and their legitimacy. I've contacted authorities both in Texas and CA with serial numbers and haven't had anyone call me back yet to tell me anything is stolen but it sure was some sketchy looking stuff.

Long story short, Tino packed up and headed out when he saw how intense everything was getting on the forums but once again he didn't come through as promised and still owes me a long list of parts and $2500 cash. In fact, he wouldn't even bring me the $500 I asked for, he only brought me $400.

He's certainly not in the clear yet but its a start, I guess.

Thanks again everyone for the help thus far, hopefully he takes this as an opportunity to make SOMETHING right and begin rebuilding a name for himself instead of an opportunity to outcast himself in the rally community before he ever gets a chance to compete.

So essentially he gave you sketchy parts and $400 and got his bike.

IMO you should not have given him the bike.

Eh, then again you don't want to be in possession of a potentially stolen bike....Tino now knows that everyone knows about this and is kinda screwed if he tries anything more....Enough people here now know about this that he can't just slither away

You forgot rule # 1 for dealing with Tino, didn't you? Assuming he got his bike back you're never going to see him or any of that money again. Sorry.
