Stock dp
So a year ago I took my stock dp off including stock heat shield. Put an aftermarket dp on instead. Few months later decided I didn't like that dp and put the stock dp back on. Unfortunately lost oem heat shield and bracket.
Do I honestly need it?? I have a stock intercooler btw. Oem heat shield/brackets for sale seperately ?? Or do u have to buy a new oem dp to have that stock shield there? Another heat shield that would fit?? Do I even need one?? |

Just get a Turbo blanket, or make your own with unabomber's DIY tutorial. I'll actually work better than a heat shield.

How bout a Cobb or Perrin or grimmspeed shield? Would they fit a bracketless oem dp? |

Search "infrared" then make your own choice.

Did you tune for the aftermarket downpipe? If you didn't then that's why you didn't like it.

also have the grimmspeed shield ceramic coated heat shield. I think it reuses the stock bracket tho. You can probably find one on here for cheap |

Definitely go for a turbo blanket since you don't have the bracket or anything. It just makes more sense in your scenario. Why hassle with obtaining parts when you can go a better, cooler route anyways?
