Default Jeff's 07 STI - GT3076R with meth, stock engine

Dyno: Innovative Tuning's Mustang AWD 500 SE (not inflated)
Tuner: Mike McGinnis at Innovative Tuning
Wheel HP: 381
Wheel TQ: 349
Ambient Temp: 80 F
Elevation: ~700
Highest baseline wheel HP when stock: 198-212 (08-09 STIs on our dyno)
Highest baseline wheel TQ when stock: 212-226 (08-09 STIs on our dyno)

Car Info
Year: 2007
Model: STI
Engine Management: Accessport + AccessTuner Pro Software
Turbo: GT3076R with Tial hot side
Intercooler: Innovative Tuning custom piping and BPV recirc. with Perrin core
Meth Kit: Aquamist
Injectors: Bosch 1000cc
Intake/Inlet: AMS rotated big MAF CAI
Headers: Litespeed
Uppipe: AMS rotated
Downpipe: AMS Catless 3"
CBE: 3" aftermarket
Other Power Mods: walbro pump, breather box

I've tuned Jeff's car before, but this time the setup was a bit more serious. He had us make custom intercooler piping, modify the intake, make a recirculation setup for his Synapse valve, add a solenoid to dump boost if the meth kit failed and more. You can see the piping we made here:

We thought his stock clutch would slip before the car made this much power, but the car only has 11,000 miles on it so it held up just fine. Instead, the car made a lot of power and I stopped at just 22 psi.

This graph shows the 22 psi pump and meth tune, 18 psi pump gas only tune, and the highest stock STI dyno we've recorded here. That's a 2011 STI. As you can see, even a strong stock STI makes similar low end power so this setup offers stock-like response around 2000 RPM and then takes off from there.

To be clear this isn't a setup I'd recommend as long term reliable on a stock engine. I discussed this with Jeff and I can't say how long the stock engine is going to put up with this, but the car ran great on the dyno and on the test drive Jeff and I took together.

As always, Jeff takes care of the car and keeps it looking great:

This is the largest turbo to date our header has been paired with. Glad to see it does not limit top end performance . Looks like there was more in it too. To clarify, this was the Tial 0.83 hotside.

Great tune Mike and thanks to the car owner Jeff for trying our header.

Looks very nice. Out of all the turbos i have had, the 3076 is by far the best street/drag turbo for the stock engine and even a light built engine. You planning on taking the car to the strip or is this just for the street? Again nice car.

I know Jeff plans to autocross it, but I'm not sure about the drag strip. We'll see how long the stock clutch holds up.

More nice work, Mike.

When that stock bottom-end lets go, it's gonna be ugly.

Yup autocross for sure, just need tires. I may go to the drag strip near my house one time, but I won't launch it.

My plan is by the time the block goes I will have a built one ready to go in. But that won't be for awhile *(knocks on wood)

If anyone wants to see detailed pictures of the kit and a review of the parts you can find it in this thread. JSTi07's Journal

I have had some requests for a sound clip of the car so I thought I would post this here. Next time I am planning to get a drive by shot and hopefully have new tires so I can do some real pulls.

Thanks. I uses imovie for the first time with this video. I still have to mess with it more though to get used to it.

I also have to figure out a better spot to mount the gopro so I don't get as much wind noise.
