Default engine trouble, help

ok, i have a 95 legacy l. i just did the headgaskets and now the car wont start. before i did the headgaskets, then compression was all 180's except one cylinder.

now, the car will not start- it will turn over but will not start. i checked compression again. cyl 1 & 3 are now 120's and 2&4 are 180s. this is so agrevating!

anyone have any ideas? i know im getting spark and fuel. maybe i did the timing belt wrong? the haynes manual said the indents on the cam gears were to line up with the notch on the top of the rear cam covers. and the crank was to line up the arrow with the notch by the crank angle sensor. is this right?

Don't line it up with the arrow on the crank sprocket... Line it up with the little dash on one of the teeth... You can't miss it... it's about the same as teh little mark on each of the cam gears... When the sprocket is in the correct position, I believe the arrow will point towards the drivers side. They keyway should also be pointing straight down.

If you get the oem timing belt its marked to line up with the marks on the sprockets.

Beyond that, what wrx_driver said.
