Here are a few choice pics from the Rally X today. I had a great time and enjoyed seeing all the modified subies, along with meeting some new people.

I got some pictures of the red wagon in the first run group, but since I think you were in the same run group as me, I was unable to get some of your wagon.
When do the results get posted? Saunders |

What was the deal with your brakes. You could be heard from miles away.

Still trying to figure out those damn brakes. Thanks to Ploger, Miller, and Goodwin for helping my tear things apart. We banged all the dust and gravel out of the brakes on both sides of the car. We disabled the hill-holder brake. We checked how much material the pads had. We even checked the e-brake adjustment. No luck! Just noise!
I thought it was gravel at first, but it didn't wear down even after driving on it for many hours. I also suspect the hill-holder brake because a mechanic was just F'ing with it last week and might have adjusted it to drag all the time. But we disabled it and still had probs. In case it wasn't mysterious enough, after driving at highway speeds both of the left wheels were hot as crap, but both of the right side wheels were cool-running. That makes no sense. I'm dropping it off at the mechanic this week to do some exploring. |

Dave Ploger, keeping the 2wd's on top, that is what I like to see. I may be back from CO later this summer to try and shake up the top 5 in my gti again...

Justin.. taking my by 0.2. But have been those two runs i had where i went over the starting line and where I took out the finish cones
It was a blast. Everybody should do this if they own at wrx. Just takes a while to get the dust out of the car. I got to meet Mark at the event and he definilty had some smoking times for his mostly stock wrx wagon. Saunders |
