is there a vendor that would sell spacers for the door speakers in a WRX? The doors are super shallow and i dont think making some would the best use of my precious time, lol

also, any ideas for where to get a din pocket for head-unit replacement?

click me for Kartboy Spacers

I ordered 2 sets. Depending on what speakers you got and how deep they are you may only need 1 set.

The spacers are there, there just hidden really really well....

Tom@Kartboy's spacers are top notch, word of caution though, they run big... you need to make contact with him, or wait for him to post it(i can't think of it off hand right now) and KNOW what your mounting CUT OUT diameter of your speakers is FIRST....

Just a word to the wise as the pic below will show, I had the older Polk MM6500 woofers that were a "6.5" but measured more like "6.75" and then got the new Polk MMC5600 the is an actual "6.5" and you can see the difference..

On the older woofer...

On the newer woofer....

They fit PERFECT on the woofer to the right... the ~6.75"

If they'll work for you, you WOULD NOT be dissapointed with them..

This leads me to a point for Tom@Kartboy Whats the chance of making 2 different sizes????

i could make two different sizes. i'd have to raise the price up a few bucks to cover the costs of setting up the machine twice. or i could shrink the ID a touch. right now the are 5.750

Tom
I don't know about the rest of the crew, but, i would think that 2 sizes would be worth a few bucks. I mean you can see from my experience, that it would cost me at least a few bucks to get the proper size, if there were 2 sizes at the time...

If you are willing to do it, maybe you could make a post under your SN, proposing it to the board, maybe hammer out a smaller "general" size??? Like you did the last time..

what say you?

I have the spacers from Tom that I ordered earlier this yr. I need to test fit those to my Momos.

Great guy to deal with, fast responses to my emails/questions. Good quality product. And I also bought me a shirt

From what I read the 02-03 have a shallower door card than the 04+. I forgot what I was searching for but some people had to get longer plastic clips to hold the door card onto the door. I'll look for the thread and link you to it if I find it.
