CLutch issue after clutch install
Hey guys,
I recently got my clutch installed at PnL motorsports in IL. They resurfaced my stock flywheel and installed an exeddy stage 1 organic clutch. Right off the bat i noticed the clutch is alot stiffer and also in first gear at engagement I guess massive chatter that only more gas cures. In reverse also the chatter is ridiculous and is bad even when the car is revved to 2000. My questions is, is this normal for a clutch as if wears in. I heard the tech talking to the other tech and hey mentioned the word flywheel and warped in some context that i couldnt make out. I am assuming that clutch chatter is caused by a non uniform flywheel surface. My plan is to wait to 600 miles and then go back there and tell them they didnt resurface my flywheel correctly if this chatter doesnt go away. Any thoughts? thanks |
