3" spt midpipe to 2.5" turbo xs axleback.... gasket issues
so i have a good old, 3" 2 hole flange gasket, it works on one end but it wont on the other. i aquired an spt midpipe and was wondering... will it bolt up to my turbo xs axleback? or am i fuxored and have to go to an exhaust shop to get it modified...
reason i ask, the studs on the end (that are welded to the pipe) are too close together for the gasket to slip on. now even if i route the holes out and make it fit, i'm worried that there will be leak issues because of the flange size difference. a 2.5" flange mating to a 3" flange. because it isnt tapered i'm expecting a lot of turbulence, but it would still be better flowing than the stock midpipe. any insight would be greatly appreciated
