Power steering super stiff after warmed up
Yes! You read the title correctly. When I start my car in the mornings, of course my engine is cold, and my steering turns very quickly and smoothly (I don't drive my car without warming it up for about 10 min. Only tested the steering while it's cold a few times to experiment). Right after my car is warm, it pretty much loses it's power steering! I need two hands while turning.
Another note: if I press the gas pedal, the steering gets easier to move as well. Even if the car is not rolling, I'm just gassing, the steering is a lot easier to turn. Another note: there is NO whine when I turn the steering while it's cold. When it's warmed up, it's very whiny, and stiff Any suggestions? Would really like to get this sorted out. 02 wrx |
