I've heard the same thing. I don't think it'll be a DH-Link, but it will be DW designed as far as I've heard. That new DHR is fugly, but should be a pretty sick bike.

Found this on Craigslist, might buy it because it seems like a great deal.

http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bik/844876374.html

Looking to buy a good first mountain bike, but something advanced enough so I won't grow out of it. I've down downhill a few times (rented) and it was a lot of fun.
Figured this would be a great bike for trail riding/downhill. I also have a trail located down the street from me and it just so happens that my friend (who was captain of mtn. bike club back in highschool) built some nifty obstacles (some of which are a bit nutz)

Anyone here bike the greendale woods or cutler park in Needham?

I would stay away from that bike RSBLOOD. Thr parts group on that bike is horrible. The frame might last but everything else will fall apart. It sounds like it is 1 step above a Walmart special. How much do you want to spend on a. Bike?

And 22/32 is the chainring sizes 22 would be small ring, 32 being middle ring.

Agree. That bike is crap. Cheap full suspension bikes are worthless. You're better off getting a solid hardtail that will at least pedal well.

I'm ashamed at how little I have actually ridden this year. Anyways, my bike is a bit of a mish-mosh hybrid but it has been running great since I built it. It started life as an '03 Specialized Stumpjumper M4 Pro and I somehow managed to crack the frame in a small spot (which isn't bad) but I used it as an excuse to pick up a FS frame and put my components on it (Shimano XTR for the most part - I had to switch to an XT front derailleur because my bottom-pull style didn't work on the new top-pull frame). Brakes are Avid Single Digit Ti's which are very good for v-brakes. Just got some Time Atac pedals this year which I've killed myself on numerous times... still have to get used to them. Frame is a Sette Riddik. It's a little heavy but it has taken the abuse I've thrown at it so far with no issues and it was a good buy for the money.

I ride road along with DH and XC MTB. I pretty much enjoy any kind of cycling but MTB is definitely more fun for me. Road riders take a lot of crap for wearing spandex and being "roadies" or whatever, but it's all good IMO. My road bike is a Lemond Tete de Course.

Ok guys,

I have the option for buy an Iron Horse Warrior 4.0 for $595 at local EMS dealer (list price is $850).
http://www.rscycle.com/2009-Iron-Hor...FQObFQodFB_PDg

But I have also found a used Iron Horse Yakuza Ojiki on craigslists...
http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bik/852722971.html

I am local to some sweet trails, cutler park in Newton and Greendale woods in Needham (hidden treasure ) so having a Downhill bike not might be the greatest idea for those hillclimbs. But I also want to get a bike that will survive small-medium jumps/drops.

What do you think? I'm able to get an AMAZING deal on the warrior, and its brand new. But im also looking to not break the bank.

Any input would be great!

-Matt

get the warrior, you'll regret having a DH bike if your trying to do XC trails. plus it's brand new for a great price. i have an all mountain bike and it's rated good for up to single black diamond trails. it does me well

I love these tires. Keep in mind they will not last too long.

Always check the casing, Single casing means a week side wall.
