Customer must be pleased. At that power what would a gtr normally trap in the quarter?

He was very pleased with the results it was like a kid in a candy store

If I remember correctly the car should be around the 10.80 - 10.90 range at about 130mph

Simply amazing these cars can trap that with no mods. I've been reading some of the 2013's have been going 10.7's at high 120's right off the showroom floor. Have you guys had a chance to tune any 13's yet?

Yeah, that is seriously impressive. Nicely done. I can't think of a cheaper 10 sec car. Hopefully will be the next car...

wow, thats amazing! I would have figured "if" an sti had a true 485whp then a 10.8-10.9, a gtr is a good amount heavier, but where the power is at I guess makes up the difference

The transmission makes a big difference, car is ALWAYS on power. Same thing with an STI, you have 400whp STIs that trap 110 and others that go 120, you shift it fast enough and keep it on power and you will MPH.

My salvaged 30r sti only had a total of under 15k cost with the car included at the time of the 11.2 run, few more psi over 27. Or 1 step up in turbo and thats a pretty cheap 10 sec car. Along with you being able to make a honda a 10 sec car for no more then 10k. This was to the cheap 10 sec car comment

We would all love the reliability of a stock 10 sec car tho. That makes the price well worth it

An almost stock 10 sec car. I want drivability and reliability, preferably with a warranty. A tune is pretty damn cheap.

What else will go 10's for under $60k without ever touching a tool?

An 09 GT-R goes for $55k-$60k. NIS-006 is $1395, tune is $600-$800 usually. For the under $60k you can have LC-5 and do 10's with the seat heaters on. The value proposition there is very high.

I know its been said many times before but my god does ur dyno read low. I've never seen a gtr stock put down under 400. Even though numbers meaning nothing, I'd be so sad to see those numbers on my nearly 100k supercar. Lol

you think the warranty would still be valid with a tune giving it +100whp? I remember when you couldnt even use launch control on them w/out voiding it, was it a 25k trans replacement or something like that?

So much misinformation....

Trans brand new is 12k ( if your dumb enough to pay that )

Shep Stg 2.5 ( 9.0@160+ 1100whp capable ) is 8500, that also includes the clutches.

My old GTR had the trans replaced under warranty @ 18k miles.. The LC had been used about.... a million times

I have owned a lot of different cars, domestic, imports, classics, exotics... GTR wins hands down

The initial outlay is expensive, but if you want a 100% daily driver that can go 10s with stock reliability and warranty... GTR is it.

I drove my car 1000 miles one way, made 16 10seconda passes ( low 10s/mid 10s) and drove it back again another 1000 miles. It got over 400 miles per tank doing it too, looked good, and drove well... like stock

My next mod list
ETS TT kit 8500
Shep 2.5 8500
Piston/rod/cams 5k
Fuel setup 1k

Low 9 second @ 155+mph reliable daily driver on e85, mid 9s on 93@140+
RELIABLE nice and comfortable daily driver. How do you beat that? Im not talking a 1 pass wonder, I'm talking a reliable get bored of making passes in it street car.

I was the biggest r35 hater. Now its the only one of my cars I really look forward to driving.

Agree with all this. Not to mention the comfortable top end capability. Nothing like near 200mph pulls coming home late night from the dyno

Before you upgrade, try road racing the car just once. Nothing like slamming on your breaks at 160 and flying into a 90 degree turn. Nothing like it!

A few 13's have gone 10.80-10.85's out of the box. I saw one in person go 10.71 @128.xx with just a flash. This car will go good!

Nothing like bragging about reliability and talking about a trans only lasting 18k.
