Default aftermarket radiator with air intake duct

I have a Koyo Radiator and I took off the intake duct, now I was wondering if it's possible to put it back on with out melting it? Would I have to put some sort of Heat reflective tape or wrap?

How hot do you think the radiator gets?

Have you ever touched a aftermarket radiator after warming up?

The liquid on the inside is can only get so hot. And is MUCH cooler than the melting point of plastic.

Your point is moot.

It doesn't get any hotter than the plastic end tanks but since aluminum transfers heat faster than plastic it also transfers heat faster to your hands when you touch it giving you the impression that it at a higher temperature. It is not.

Do not confuse temperature with heat and/or the transfer of heat. They are different.

the reson they did that wasnt to keep the plastic from melting...and wrapping plastic parts of the intake was a waste of time, anyway
