Default quetions on mods and hks exhaust

first question is, somebody told me that when i mod my sti weather i put an exhaust or short ram that i have to tune the computer on the dyno or else ill lose powere. is that true?? i know the hks exhaust is loud, is it also loud inside the car ?

I have a Perrin short ram and a HKS Carbon TI on my vehicle and I never lost power. I actually gained a few ponies. Whoever told you that you would lose power with those two mods with out tuning is wrong.

These mods wont hider your performances but if you add engine management like a XEDE you can feasibly gain 50+hp
