Just received my Essentials CB. Wow! Nicest looking exhaust I have ever seen for a Subaru. The quality of the welds, mandrel bent pipes and race quality mufflers are grade A. This looks like a system that will last the life of the car. Thanks Rich.

Rich,
Sorry about posting a GD question in your GR thread, but I'm having trouble reaching you. I've been trying to get in touch with you via your email address, as I have some questions about your GD axleback. It's been a week with no reply, despite multiple emails. I'm ready to order, but I need to ensure I'm ordering the correct part. My question: Hey. To start off, I have a 2007 Subaru STi. It currently has a TurboXS stealhback exhaust w/ standard axleback. I'd like to replace the AXLEBACK portion with your 3" whisper axleback. The TurboXS midpipe is 3" and maintains the factory axleback mounting locations (it has dual bolt holes so you can use either the factory axleback OR a 3" axleback). I'm currently running a SZ55, so I'd prefer to keep the axleback 3". My question: Can I use the Maddad Whisper 3" AXLEBACK with the TurboXS midpipe? Thanks. |

Yes - so long as it the later generation stealth intermediate pipe that will accept a 3" flange
I have been out of town since Sunday and have had little Internet access. I caught up to some emails yesterday but still have a days(or 2) to sift through R.

Bummer that you can't mate this to the factory downpipe. I covet this exhaust, but I've only had my car for 12 days, and I'm not yet willing to forego my drivetrain warranty.

Idea: factory downpipe, Whisper midpipe w/2.5" donut, GR STi axleback?
Would that work? Would you be willing to sell me a Whisper midpipe (WSPINT-OE) and a GR STi axleback? |
