Default FATT - Summit Point - May 21, Who's going?

This will be my first track day and I can't wait.

I have a few questions:
Anybody know of a local hotel that I can stay at thursday night?

Is my Snell M2000 helmet acceptable?

I used an "M" helmet there for many years before upgrading to a "SA" Carbon Fiber bucket. Your helmet will be fine.

There are no motels real close, there are a couple lowend places in Charlestown (Days Inn etc.) afew more in Frederick MD, and there are a couple decent Hampton Inns in Winchester VA, but that is on the far side of Summit from you.

Have fun, it is a great program at a great track.

Here's a link to the "Accomodations" page on the BSR web site.

Are you kidding? There are plenty of nice places to stay around here!

Check the link above. I'd recommend the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn in Martinsburg. They're right off of I-81 and it's roughly a 15 minute drive from the hotels.

Charles Town would be a little more out of your way.

Actually, the Knight's Inn in Charles Town is only 15 minutes from the track as well - I've stayed there the last two years.

I'm going to get there early and park at the farthest end of the paddock, nearest the buildings.

I'll be glad to show you guys around and answer questions and generally just be a blowhard. I've lost count of how many times I've been to FATT.

See you there.
