Default My little Impreza was crushed

I'm sorry about the size of the pictures

Well, my little Impreza was crushed by snow and ice from a roof. It smashed the windshield, and crumpled both of the fenders and the hood. Passenger side fender is the worst, but I lost paint from a big crease on the driverside fender which is not visible from the pictures The hood has a perfect imprint of my power steering cap imprinted on the inside of it. My windshield wipers were also forced halfway up my windshield, and they now sit about 5 inches above where they normally rest. If I didnt have that roof rack on, I am convinced that my roof would be toast also...that windfairing had a lot of weight on it.

I should be getting a estimate tomorrow hopefully, and then a tow somewhere. I estimate $2500-$3000 after all is said and done....

Wow that is some serious damage I didn't know that snow was capable of doing that. I hope that insurance covers the damage. Good luck with the repairs.

Ouch... I dont think you'll be parking right next to the building anymore eh? A little walk will do you good... and keep your scooby in good shape.

Good luck with the repairs.

The Nissan truck beside me is officially totaled. The Saturn has a small dent in the hood and thats it. The other Subaru was fine, and escaped the wrath of the evil snow and ice. May I add that both Subarus drove out under their own power

This happened at my school in the Adirondack's, which is a part of SUNY ESF in Syracuse. The snow fell off the barn roof in the student parking lot. The day of the accident was the beginning of a thaw...at that point, the average snow depth was 3 feet..now we only have about 2 feet of packed snow. If it makes anyone jealous, I havent seen the pavement on side roads here since mid-December

Mike: I am in a forestry school and I cut trees down, survey, cruise timber, and snowshoe most every day.....So I get a good walk here and there on our 2800 acre campus The parking lot is the only parking lot here...and its a little walk to the school.

Jay: The only meet I have been to was the Albany one last April 22nd. I was the one who had a brake job done in the parking lot by the skilfull tmat3. Were you there?

I hope my estimate guy came today!

Thanks guys!

silversurfer...do you speak from experience!?

Total damage is well over $3,000..my dad didnt give me an exact amount when I talked with him.

Casualties are:

Both fenders
Hood
Windshield
Windshield frame
Some roof damage

It would seem to me that OVER $3,000 of damage on a 95 Impreza is pushing the boarder line..the car isnt even worth $6000..then again, I dont know where USAA draws the line.
