Home vs. Autoshop with Oil Changes
I have an 05 rs with about 15k miles on it now. I have done my own oil change about 3 or 4 times. I like doing it myself because i know im putting more care into it then them and its the same price if i get synthetic oil compared to their service and cheapo oil. The one thing that makes me reconsider about it doing it myself or not is that they check the various parts that need lubing? Im afraid that i might need to check it (no problems yet) but im not sure what they do exactly. I saw the buckets of lube at Kragen autoparts but i dont want to slap it on anything i think might need it. What do you guys do? Do you guys service your cars?
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for your replies in advance, - Paul |
