Default Finally, a clutch creek/squeak fix!

Sorry if someone else has found it, but I was excited!...Under the big black box on the RS, and under the intercooler for those of you fortunate enough to have a turbo.......On the top edge of the transmission, there is the slave cylinder....the squeak/creek noise comes from the shaft of the slave pushing on the linkage...grab the linkage and pull it forward (towards the front of the car) to push the slave piston back into the slave cyl.....quickly wipe the grease and crust from between the linkage and piston (before the slave resets itself)...repeat that but install a fresh blob of good grease and BAMMMMM! no noise!!!!!!

Yep. That's one of the labeled grease points in the service manual. There's also a few more you can get to in the pedal assembly so if the noise comes back start to look at those as well.
