Question Outback owners: brake information needed!

Does anybody have SS brake lines installed on Outback ('98)?
If so, what brand and how well did it fit???

I counted on Cobb's brake package and asked them
if SS brake lines offered for Leagacy/Outback would
really fit my car.
Here is the answer:

"Until we can get more Outbacks in my best answer is that
they will not. I did not have a problem fitting them here,
but many customers are reporting differences from what we had
on our tester..."

Any comments?

Default Raising my hand...

I have stainless steel braided brake lines on my 97 Legacy Outback. Put them on about a year ago.

I bought them thru CyberAuto. It took a little while to get them (3 or 4 weeks IIRC). The brand was Techna-fit. I know nothing of this brand, but I was told that they are equivalent to Goodridge (sp?) make that is often mentioned FWIW. They looked to be of decent quality. The dealer / mechanic that installed them did not have any complaints. I was told that they had to modify the bracket a little to fit them on, but otherwise no problem.

CyberAuto was great to deal with and the price was very good.
