Default How to identify a 2.5L STI crank shaft?

I have a 100% new crank shaft in my possession that I was told is a USDM STI crank. Is there any way to tell if it is in fact a 2.5L STI crank? It was in a box with the following Subaru part number: 12200AA370 but who's to say that the box was not switched at one point in the past.
