Ewg bracket solution
Ok so I recently bought a fp hta68 turbo, and needed a bracket. Now grimmspeed stopped making the ewg bracket for this turbo, I have no clue why but I got creative. So in theory the iwg opens and closes under boost, so if you don't hook a boost line up to the iwg it will not open and act as a bracket. Seeing as the air can't flow in reverse the internal wastegate flap should not open as long as there are no boost lines attached to it and its tightened down. Has anyone else tried this out with success? I run a hybrid boost control system and a tial 38mm ewg. Will this work?

Yep. That's how I run mine. I tightened the actuator arm a few turns to be sure it would hold shut.

I have never owned your turbo, but when I had to figure out a way to keep my iwg shut, I just simply removed the wastegate actuator and replaced it with a bolt that ran from the flapper arm to the actuator bracket. I tightened it down, used a jam nut, and marked the head with a paint pen so I could verify if it ever moved. Went over a year without any movement.

Get some aluminum angle and make one from scratch it's 3-4 holes and a couple of bolts to hold the arm on to the bracket coming from the turbo.

I have no boost lines to mine and run my greddy with a 44mm ewg. Over 1 year and zero problems.

It only opens at wastegate pressure from the actuator side if the boost line is hooked up. It would depend only on pre-turbo exhaust pressure, which I highly doubt is anywhere near boost pressure.

you're correct. My brain isn't working too well on 2hrs sleep. Most folks still prefer to have something else holding it shut as well.
