Hey all,
For me, and for all y'all too, I decided to just have a thread I can post to as I make any updates, and then follow up with feedback or reviews of the products. Car just hit over a year (July '11 when purchased) and is doing awesome. Hit 13k miles and haven't had one issue yet. I am now stage 2 running the Torqued Performance map which is putting my car right where I want to be, in terms of power and reliability. Hope you enjoy the journey and am looking forward to the feedback and criticism Running List of Mods: Cobb Accessport DDM 35w HID Kit - July '11 - ~1k Miles Nokya 2500 Yellow JDM DRL Bulbs – July ’11 TWM Performance Short Shifter - July '11 - ~1k Miles Kartboy F/R shifter bushyings - July '11 ~1k miles Prosport Halo 52mm Boost Gauge - ~1k Miles Prosport Halo 52mm Oil Pressure Gauge - ~1k Miles SMY Clustermaker Pod – July ‘11 - ~1k Miles Debadged – June '11 – 800 Miles Trunk trim vinyl wrap - July '11 23% Tint Kic Black Lug nuts - July '11 Chrome delete vinyl wrap on window trim - July '11 Paint side vents matte black - July '11 Laminx tail (smoke) Nameless Axleback 3.5 Quad Single wall Staggered tips JDM front/rear Impreza emblems Painted fender badges Perrin Shorty Antenna STI Rear Sway Bar SPT Heat shield Vinyl Mirrors Vinyl Fog Covers Kenwood 6.5" component front door speakers. First "mods" - debadged and vinyl wrap back. the car needs more black accents (which I think just tint will help a lot with) to assist the black back piece. Also will be doing vinyl on all the window chrome strips, and side mirrors. I picked up the vinyl online from http://www.shadowtrim.com/ - which has pretty good rates with fast shipping...
Stay tuned... Stock Rear: Debadged Rear: Rear "silver piece": Rear piece vinyl wrapped: Last edited by mw1484; 06-26-2011 at 01:35 AM. |

Still havent taken time upload the updaetd pics from SLR but here are the most recent updates.
Tinted windows (30%), but with factory windows and cover, turned out ot be 23% is what tinter told me when he used light gun on it. Also installed Stage 1 map with Cobb AP on 91 Octane. Seems a bit smoother and fluid when driving but havent really pushed it much WOT to see major HP/TQ gains...yet! |

Took a joy ride to Alki and back and made some stops along the way to do some shooting.
Granted - I didn't have my tripod on me so most didn't turn out great (couldnt get more light without distorting) |

Just ordered Nameless Performance axle back exhaust today. Will post pics of install and audio clips as well.
Also - any recommended updates to my Cobb Stage 1 map when I install or should I not see much drone? Will be ordering an intake too and getting pro tune as well so may just wait. Lastly - this weekend will finishing the chrome delete on the windows, and possibly paint fender badges if store gets The flat black/satin black in... Got gloss but not the ideal look I'm going for... Stay tuned! |

Agree - right now it pops a little hard. But I like it a lot better now that the car is tinted. I also got black caliper paint and matte black krylon paint for the fender badges I might try doing this weekend, so it will get better.
What do you guys think of a light smoke tint on tails?? I'm playing with the idea... |

Sooo... Vinyl wrapped (Thanks www.shadowtrim.com) the chrome on the window trim and also removed, sanded, primed, painted the side vents a flat black. Probably going to do another stab at it because the paint isn't as dark as I'd like.
It's actually super easy to take out the vents (and access the fog lights too) on the 2011 by just removing the 3 screws in the front of the wheel well and accesing clips to the vents. Here are pics of the work done today. Nameless Exhaust set to come this week along with tail light lamin-x smoke film (so more updates to follow next week)...
