Default Exhaust noise question....

I just got my borla cat-back on the my car yesterday, and when driving around town or even on the highway when I let off the gas it will making a popping noise around what sounds like the header area. Oh I have borla headers too.... Is this ok?...It doesn't hurt anyting does it??.....Just making sure nothing is tearing up my car......

no, some exhausts are just like that, my pacesetter was the same way on my supra, i think its just from the sudden change in pressure from dropping exhaust gas velocity

The popping noise is from small amounts of unburned fuel igniting in the exhaust. It's perfectly normal during throttle transitions.

I have a MY02 Impreza RS 2.5 and its a perfectly normal noise. I am running a Magnaflow muffler with muffler shop fabricated cat-back piping.

If anything, its an Impreza Trademark to me
