She needs convincing? I could see you having a hard time if you had the SVX and just bought a 1993 Supra, but the Scirooco should not even be up for discussion, aside from you telling her not to touch it. You could pay more for a laptop, but she wouldnt say anything about that purchase.

You are the man of the house! MY woman knows who wears the pants!

LOL... The last time I asked my g/f who the man was, she told me "the cat". I laughed my @$$ off.

When I bought my the SVX, I already had the Impreza. She couldn't say anything about it since it's my money.

All you need now is a Delorean DMC 12 and you will have 3 cars designed by Giugaro

Post Picked up another car, trying to keep the SVX!

Bought a 79 VW Scirocco. I have been looking for a clean early scirocco for a long time, and when this one came up, I had to get it. It has the same designer Giugiaro that penned the SVX, so it is really a trip seeing the two cars together. They have similar design elements, especially with the long nose and low rooflines. They look long and low, very sporty... I am trying my best to convince my wife that I need to keep both cars. We'll see what happens, I know that she was rolling her eyes when I said I wanted to buy this Sciroco and was going to keep the SVX also.

Or how about an 80's Isuzu Impulse. Actually that thing looks a _lot_ like the Scirocco, only "more"... at least in the nose area.

cheers

You are right I must really like Giugaro's designs because when I first got ny liscence I wanted a scirocco. I've always wanted a Delorean. Not to mention I almost bought an Impulse. and I own a SVX it has to be the styling because none of the above are very fast in stock form.

For about a year I had two Italdesign cars in my garage, a 1985 Isuzu Impulse JR, and the SVX.

If Only the Missus would have gone for that early 90's GS300...

Holy crap I love the old GS300's I'm trying to get my friend to buy one. I had no idea they were also designed by giugaro.

I had an SVX and a '78 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT - now that puts the Giugiaro bookends on! the only things those cars have in common is the pen what drew 'em.
