Default Do southern states get annoyingly inundated with birds during the winter?

Soon, we up here in the northerly states will be relatively bird free. No more chirping, schitting or such for quite a while. Just curious that with all the migratory birds of northern states relocating further south during the winter months, is there a noticible increase in the bird population in southerly states or is it a negligible change? I'm assuming that there are birds that do not migrate to the north during the hot months and are present year-round in addition to the migratory ones.

Yes, they migrate here..the shore is covered with gulls, pipers, plovers, etc. I also get quite a variety of warblers in the back yard which are never here in the summer.

Got the feeders loaded and ready to rock

The Kildeers and Canadian Geeses are getting pretty thick down here. Mostly its the mosquitoes that are thickest right now.
