eg33 into usdm 2002 wrx
I am looking to swap a fully built eg33 from svx into my 2002 wrx. I just want to know if the engine mounts line up, the trans bolts up, if the hydra can tune, and if ej22 pistons and rods with work for the build? Lastly where do you get valvetrain for this motor?
thanx Eric

Engine drops right in. Can use EJ engine mounts, trans bolts up. There are some guys running the Hydra with the 33, and EJ22 pistons fit.

Just FYI the engine is approx 6" longer overall (and about 100lbs heavier) so you need to move the radiator and do pusher fans at the very least.

I just wanted to emphasize this point......due to the size and weight issues, if you're going to the trouble/expense of fully building an engine, might as well go with an EZ 6-cyl. The new Link plus standalone system now has a downloadable base map/trigger setup that works with the EZ30DR with closed loop AVCS control.
