Default 2015 Homelink Mirror

Installed this a few days ago. Installation was super-easy.

Part number is H501SFJ101, and the kit comes with a Gentex mirror (I believe it's the same one used in the IS250/350) with Homelink and Compass (compass color is red). Also has the wiring harness and cover. I can try and get the part number for the wiring harness/cover if anyone wants to splice the other end and use a different mirror. Mirror was $200 or so online.

I read on the CrossTrek forums that the harness wasn't in the domelight area, and instead was near the A-Pillar if you don't have a sunroof. Base model owners will be happy to know this is NOT the case with the 2015 WRX. Installation was simple

1. Pop the dome light cover that covers the bulbs, remove the two screws, and remove the dome light assembly

2. Fell around, my harness was on the right if you're facing the windshield. Attach the supplied wire to the factory harness, fish it through the headliner (it pops down)

3. Swap out the mirrors, plug in the harness, put the cover of the wire.

The factory wire was a tight fit, but it worked. Overall the swap is super easy, and if you need homelink, makes this much easier. As noted you could likely buy the wiring / cover kit, and some other Gentex mirror.

I'd like more information on this, pictures, etc. There is probably more on the forum but I'm fishing for info since I'm going to do this soon.
