Question Thinking about tradiing in my '06 STI for an '08 Spec.B

I love my car and it is sooooo much faster than the Spec.B but I am getting sick of the lack of luxury. When I first got my STI I was deciding between it and the '06 Spec.B that they had in the showroom. I ended up going with the STI for power reasons thinking I didn't need/want anything with the luxury. I drove the 3.0R and the Spec.B back to back and I admit that that 3.0R is more impressive power wise but the Spec.B won't leave me feeling that I miss my STI too much. I am on the fence about this because I still want the '08 STI once we get them in but I figure with a 3 year lease I can trade it in on one easier than a STI by then that will have probably a huge turbo and tons of power if I stick to my game plan. I am basically just looking for some thoughts either way and input both positive and negative. Thanks

-Jason

I think you should wait for the '08 STI if thats what you're wanting in the end. It seems foolish to me to be bouncing between cars like this.
Why add an extra "hop" if you will, to the equation, when you really only want one...if that made any sense at all.

leasing a car is just throwing money away. With the amount of money you'd lose, you might be able to add some luxury to the STi and have the best of both worlds.

Things you can do to add a touch of posh to the car:
-leather performance seats from Sparco
-in dash DVD/Navi unit,
-carbon fiber interior pieces http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1328087
-while it is sacrileage, you could get a second set of rims with higher profile/more comfort-based tires
-in car adjustable coilovers

LMAO... I work for Avondale Subaru.... I know about leasing and throwing away money it is not... the incentives Subaru is offering on leases is phenomenal, and not to mention with the residual retained at the end of the term it is impossible to loose money on a lease BTW... I have about $10k in stereo in my STI now.... the 2008 is going to be full pop for a while for us employees. Then again I may be out growing the whole "STI" thing... not too sure... I am going to see tomorrow how my car looks on paper as a trade in before I make my final decision, whatever that is

The spec b is way to much money for what it is. you can buy the GT and outfit it for less to make it look better/perform better than the spec b

yeah, i've leased both my subarus. the wagon i got a killer lease on, which is why i did it...3 years, super cheap payment. just bought it in june for $15k, while it blue books for $21.5k. i actually saved some money over purchasing it right away. fxt i got a good lease on too, but did it because i knew i wouldn't keep it more than 3 years.

i think the spec b is a great car. i'm getting to that point where i'll be buying something new as a daily driver in the next year, and i'm thinking i may be into something more up-market than an sti as well.

So how do you make money paying a lease? You have to work for Avondale Subaru? O yeah I get it.

Never said you make money I just said that by the end of the lease your retain such a good residual that you have equity in your trade. I ended up not leasing but I got the Spec.B. I can't complain got a killer deal and got a brand new car.

Good for you. Do you sell cars there? I tried getting some info from an ad I saw from Arthur. Needless to say he was a complete jackass on the phone with his answers to my questions. If you sell cars PM me. I would like some info.

Nice to see another sales person from this dealer not take action and answer a question.
