Radiator coolant: Subaru Super Coolant, replace at 11 years or 132,000 miles. If topping off, be sure to use correct fluid.

From Cars101, pretty accurate about most things. How much does this coolant cost?

I asked the dealer for coolant specifically for my car. It was blue.

I would think that you want to make sure you get the right coolant, because all of their coolant is probably not designed for 11 years/132,000 miles of service life.

And I never trust parts departments, I always double check anything I buy from them to make sure it is correct.

So why cant we just use regular 50/50? Is there an issue with that? It seems everyone is sweating the super coolant.. how come?

It is long life stuff, you can mix but the change interval gets to be a lot lower

That makes sense, except here in Canada prices are more elevated.
