Default Help Wanted: Springs, Swaybars, & End Links Install

The parts should be in hand within a week or so.

I'm located in Herndon, VA but willing to travel a bit so my wallet doesn't get destroyed with shop install prices.

Thanks

I can also help if you want to come to Laurel, MD. You would have to bring a spring compressor (I have all the other tools) which you can rent / borrow from most auto parts stores.

Wow that was quick! Thanks for the responses. I'll be in contact with one or both of you once the parts are in-hand

I can meet him up in laurel. I have the most powerful cordless impact ever made, so things should be a breeze.

I also have a spring compressor, but it wouldn't hurt to rent another one to speed things up!

Oh jeez wow, you're probably really close to me then lol. If you have a wagon then yeah, get the spacers.

I'm getting coils to fix my spacing problems. lol

I'm in Herndon, VA

Pretty sure my buddy had his headlights cleared/painted at MD04WRX's place a month or so back.

My WRX is a sedan so I guess I'll hold off on those

Yeah, sedans don't need them from my experience.

Do you have basic knowledge of what you're doing?

If you wanted to come to Ft. Belvoir I can get you in the garage here on post to use to lift.

It would have to be in the evening though.

I'd like to think I have more than just basic knowledge on the subject haha. Had a buddy help with sways and end links on my previous car (2.5RS).

I know the rear is easier, front involves removing the subframe. I'll need an impact gun for removal of bolts especially the struts, and to make the project go by much much faster.

lol, alright. I was asking because I wasn't sure if you're the type to watch people do work or actually do the work lol.

Like I said before, I have the most powerful cordless impact ever made, strut bolts are cake. Please don't tell me you have stout mount for the rear, those are such a PITA.

This is the impact:

Was not planning on using stout mounts because I have an '04 and heard they come stronger from the factory than the '02-'03

They aren't that bad. I've changed the rear mounts on my 04 twice with out any issues. Just installed the Perrin stout mounts a few months ago.

STIfella & XERO287 are you both free Saturday the 13th for an install day at MD04WRX's? My friend is also joining the fun with a diffuser install on his STi.

Try doing the passenger side without an offset wrench. It was definitely bad lol.

Yeah I should be okay. I'm either busy that day or the Sunday (14th). If this is the exact day you want to do it then I'll rearrange to be busy on the Sunday.
