Default EJ25 into Porsche 914!!! :)

A rather cool co-worker who has a metal/machine shop ( with tube bending gear and all, he used to do mechanic and shop work for some midwest race teams for fun).

He has an older Porsche 914 with a blown plant. His plan is to take a EJ25 engine, turbocharge it to 10 PSI, and put it into that car. his only concern is height, so he may be working on making his own intake manifold and throttle body. Hes working on designing adaptor plated that will let the EJ mount into the chassi and is starting to look at how the tranny mates, and what will need to be done.

Hes only going to drive the car a few times a year, so he doesnt care about reliability, as he calls it "the subie engines are known to be grenades when you do anything more than better sparkplugs in em, so I dont plan on it lasting long" This guy musta met 8 Complex somewhere along the line to think that about the EJ25 plants heheheheeh

This guy is also working with me on my pet project for my car. All I gotta say is TwinScrew and uber sleeper.

My first motor was blown before new spark plugs were even put in.

Check out this guys site www.smallcar.com. He has installed Scooby engines (EJ33) into VW Vanagons and has recently put a 5 speed into an SVX. Might help your guy out. Have him speak to Brain Steel.
