Default I feel the need .. the need for speed

Got my 01RS in early Feb. and since i have been tormenting the local backroads of my wonderfull little suburbian town. The only problem with this is I feel bad about going so fast on these roads, but somehow it isn't fast enough to satisfy that urge. So here is the deal. What kind of racing should I get into? Keeping in mind that I won't watch NASCAR untill they make a right hand turn, 1/4 mile just isn't my thing, and i love my car. Like i really love my car to the point that i notice every new puck or ding when i wash and wax it every weekend. Ooh well call me obsesive if you will but i really need some squealing tires and reving engines in my life . Thanks!

There are several things you can do. You can do auto-x, which is driving around an cone-course - about 45 seconds long, top speed about 60mph. You can go do track days - around here, there are New Hampshire, Lime Rock, and a little bit further Watkins Glen, Mont Tremblant, Virginia, Summit Point, etc., where you attend driver's ed and drive around the track in usually 30 minute sessons. Then there are rally-cross, on dirt; and there are hill climbs.

Check out the New England board. There are people doing each of those things, and we also post upcoming events that they're going to.
