stupid ****In saturn. oil filter removal emergency
so i came home. was gonna change the oil in the old ladie's car, play ps2 black for a bit, then watch TV. well those plans have gone completely down the tubes.
i can't get the oil filter off and now i've effed it up pretty bad. tried a filter wrench, then resorted to the old screwdriver through the side trick. well, that just mutilated the metal prettty bad. i've run out of ideas and would appreciate some tricks or tips some of you might have. ibyoregay ibotherstuff

A chisel/screwdriver can be hammered at the edge to help spin it off. Just dont **** up the gasket surface. |

I always beat the side of the filter in to get a better grip on it. Use a hammer and dent it.

yeah, i might pick one up tomorrow after work.
^^^ yeah i've tried a bigger screwdriver but there's not a ton of room to work with and the angles are bad. i can't do the chisel on the base thing because i can't get to it. the axle is right under the filter, less than a thumb width, as i couldn't even get a grip on it. so the axle is right under the filter, blocking me from the base of the filter. access from above is a joke as well. eff my life |

^i guess so. i've been changing my own oil for years and never had this problem. the only time i've ever needed a filter wrench was the last time i worked on this car.

He needs heat gun. He's going to get it like 105 degrees F with a hair dryer after 20 minutes. He could start it, for a great video.
