Default My Car Is Finally Done, Now With 100% More Bling

I posted a couple months ago about my brand new WRX being rear ended 3 days after I bought. Now after 2 1/2 months of suffering without my wrx and one hassle after another with insuarnce, appraisers and the body shop, it is finally done. I added a Prodrive RB5 wing and some STI side splitters. I figured while my car was already in the shop might as well have some other things painted.

All and all the car seems to be as good as new. The ride feels exactly like it did before the accident, I havent found any new rattles or vibrations so far and the newly painted body parts looks superb!

I am stoked to have my car back and looking better than ever. Now to continue breaking her in.

looks good!

Any more rear shots that show off that wing????

And regarding the Prodrive emblem, is it a decal or engraved?

Nice to see a WRed WRX with some cool stuff on it. You should lower. I have prodrive lowering springs. Love em.

Your car is REALLY red. You should paint the inside of your lights white like this:

I heard from this Ferrari F355 owner that Ferrari puts black tape (like electrical tape) inbetween some of their body panels to help the red pop more. Maybe a strip of black tape on the top of your STI splitters, a black front plate hole cover, maybe paint your front grill silver or white, etc.

Cool car.

The molded logo was never produced. They decided against that for some reason. Prodrive-USA sent out 2 stickers, but I'm not real big on stickering my paint. I like the clean look without the sticker. I would have really liked the molded logo though.

Here, I just snapped off a few more. Not the greatest quality but you get the idea.

Blurry picture, sorry

Thanks! I actually went to the dealership with the intent to buy a white WRX. Then I saw the SRR WRX and had to have it. I really am not a "red" car kind of person but theres something about this particular red on the WRX that I really like.

I think you are off to a great start (No replica parts too). I don't know what power mods you have planned, but I think some Stoptechs w/ big fat red calipers and some Prodrive Wheels would look incredible. Keep up the good work.

Love your car, looks great with the RB5 wing. Now all you need are 18" Gold P1's!

Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming!

I'm a little hesitant on the gold wheels. Not sure yet if I like the combo. I'm actually looking into 18" 5Zigen FN01R-C's in hyper black or some Prodrive PFF7's in british pewter. I like the dark wheels with red but not black. I would consider bronze wheels though.

I would love a BBK, especially with some huge red calipers, omg, but that would come last, so much $$$!

Thanks again.

I agree completely. I'm deciding on wheels and springs right now.

Exactly the same way i ended up with mine. I was dead set on the white one until i found out that a local dealer ACTUALLY had a red sedan 5 speed on their lot. 2 days later i was driving it home!

I like your car a lot. I'm just not sure how I feel about the wing though. That one seemed to go much better with the 02-02 models.
